"I am excited to receive the priesthood
like my dad and my brothers. I know that
I need to make good choices. . . " He stopped and said, "Hey who wrote this? I told him I did, and he said, "you're telling everybody that I make bad choices?" I tried to explain to him that I wasn't telling everyone he makes bad choices, but that I was trying to say that in order to hold the priesthood, you needed to make good choices. After much discussion, he continued reading his talk. I need to go to Church, be reverent and
respectful, learn all I can about the Priesthood and about the church, listen
to my parents and church leaders, keep my language and thoughts clean . . . He then looked up again and said "You're telling everybody that I have bad language?" We continued to try to convince him that these were things everyone had to work on in order to be worthy of the priesthood. I don't think he was convinced. Maybe he has some things to work on . . . ???

Funny things Tanner Says
Today in church, my family gave talks. I had written Tanner's talk, and I asked him to practice reading it to me. He started reading. . .

Wayne and Claudine Celebrate 50 Years Together
My parents, Wayne and Claudine Cable celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Rooftop Restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It had incredible views and delicious food! They wanted a quiet celebration with their four daughters. Kari and Tom were able to come, but Steven and Dave were not. After dinner we walked around the City Creek Center. It was my first time there, and I was amazed at how impressive it is. I have never seen such a nice outdoor mall. It is something the city can be proud of!
Zack's Final Band Concert
Zack started out the year playing the clarinet and then moved on to the saxophone. He didn't love playing an instrument as much as he thought he would, so this will be his last year playing. He was happy to be done :-)

Mason's Baseball Season in Review
Mason finished his last year at Dixie High as the center fielder for the baseball team. He grew so much from his freshman year to the end of his senior year. It was so much fun watching him get better, stronger and faster. He has such a passion for the sport, and it showed every time he got out on the field. He was loved by all of the players and a good example to all. He taught me to love baseball. I loved every second of every game I saw. I am truly going to miss him play. Way to go, Mason, you are amazing!!
