After Dave was released from the hospital for his blood clots, he got a little nervous about things and said he wanted a blessing. We had just driven by the church, and I noticed that the missionaries were there. I suggested we turn around and get a blessing from the missionaries. We walked in and saw Christopher Perkes (one of Chase's best friends) who is on a mission in this area. I had heard he had been transferred to an area 30 minutes away, but had not idea he would be in Rolla that day. He is a District Leader and had come down to do a training. It was so fun to see him. He looked fantastic! He gave Dave the blessing which was an extra special experience to have a boy we watched grow up turn into such an amazing man.
