Dinner with Friends

We went to dinner in Jerome, Missouri with some friends to a wonderful Italian restaurant called Ducarti's with these views!  Such a nice evening with good friends - Darryl and Nina Ownby, Joseph and Eileen Smith and Dan and Debbie Blank.

Easter 2014

Cashaye, Miguel and Audri came home from the hospital on Easter afternoon.  When they came home, Analese went on an Easter Egg hunt.  She had so much fun looking for candy around the room. Children make holidays so much fun.  Tanner enjoyed coloring Easter Eggs the night before.

Audri Aneka Barrera

My third grandchild is born!  Audri Aneka Barrera - April 18, 2014, 6 lbs 15 ozs, 19 inches long at 5:15 p.m.  She came in a hurry - just two hours after we arrived at the hospital and just five minutes after her dad arrived.  We are so blessed to have her here.  We love having her in our home.  She is a good baby and very beautiful with lots of black hair.  Analese loves her to pieces.  Cashaye and Miguel are loving and attentive parents.  It is so much fun being a grandma.  I love showing her off!  Cashaye was amazing during the labor and delivery.  I am so proud of her.  She is a strong woman!  I am blessed to be her mom.

Conference Breakfast

The sister missionaries and Marci Fairbanks and her children (William and Marissa) stayed after our Conference Brunch to watch conference with us.  Fun to have them stay.

Happy Birthday to Dave

Dave turns 57!  I bought him a blue tooth headset for his I-Phone.  He was very happy about it.  Of course I made his favorite - German Chocolate Cake.  I'm glad you were born!!

Tanner's School Projects

Tanner made a diorama of a Tanner Shop.  He thought it was cool because that's his name.  He also loved working with the clay to make this scary monster.  He is a good little artist.

Trip to Colorado and Utah

In March I decided to drive to Utah instead of fly so that I could stop in Colorado for a day on the way there and back to help Sarah with Charlotte and with organizing some things in her home.  It was so fun being able to spend time with Sarah and Charlotte and getting to know them better.  Sarah is an attentive mom and so loving to Charlotte.  Charlotte is a happy baby and so cuddly and fun.  We got so much done.  I am so grateful that I was able to help them a little bit.  The time was short, but we seemed to accomplish a lot.  I hope to be able to visit more often.

The mountains in Colorado were full of so much snow.  The snow picture is at a rest stop.  The snow covered the entire rest stop building all the way to the roof!  It was nuts.  Then a few hours later in Utah, the weather was beautiful, so I decided to take a detour and go to Moab since I had never been there and have always wanted to go.  I took a few small hikes in Arches National Park.  It was a fun few hours there.  I'm glad I did it and hope to go back soon and do some more hiking.

While in Utah I was able to spend time with Chase because he was there for Spring Break.  Chase and Ciera and I went hiking in Zion's.  We hiked Angel's Landing which was a huge accomplishment for me and such a feeling of empowerment.  It was on my bucket list but I wasn't sure I would ever have the nerve to do it.  So amazing!!  And breathtakingly beautiful!  We did some mini golfing and went to a movie and ate out a lot.  It was a great few days, I just wished I had more time.
