Trip to Colorado and Utah

In March I decided to drive to Utah instead of fly so that I could stop in Colorado for a day on the way there and back to help Sarah with Charlotte and with organizing some things in her home.  It was so fun being able to spend time with Sarah and Charlotte and getting to know them better.  Sarah is an attentive mom and so loving to Charlotte.  Charlotte is a happy baby and so cuddly and fun.  We got so much done.  I am so grateful that I was able to help them a little bit.  The time was short, but we seemed to accomplish a lot.  I hope to be able to visit more often.

The mountains in Colorado were full of so much snow.  The snow picture is at a rest stop.  The snow covered the entire rest stop building all the way to the roof!  It was nuts.  Then a few hours later in Utah, the weather was beautiful, so I decided to take a detour and go to Moab since I had never been there and have always wanted to go.  I took a few small hikes in Arches National Park.  It was a fun few hours there.  I'm glad I did it and hope to go back soon and do some more hiking.

While in Utah I was able to spend time with Chase because he was there for Spring Break.  Chase and Ciera and I went hiking in Zion's.  We hiked Angel's Landing which was a huge accomplishment for me and such a feeling of empowerment.  It was on my bucket list but I wasn't sure I would ever have the nerve to do it.  So amazing!!  And breathtakingly beautiful!  We did some mini golfing and went to a movie and ate out a lot.  It was a great few days, I just wished I had more time.

Wow-Charlotte is BEAUTIFUL!! What a fun trip. You are so brave for driving that far alone though. What an adventure!! I love Moab, and really should spend more time there. Let's go hiking together when it cools down in the Fall!! And. . .where is the miniature golf place?? I'd love to go sometime we're in St. George. I think my grandkids would love it.
